I grew up in the Chicago area, lived in the Southwest and Northwest, and have traveled at every opportunity I can get.
My passions in life revolve around cooking, eating, drinking, traveling, and learning about the things that revolve around the kitchen and the dinner table.
After studying sustainable agriculture, getting a culinary degree at Le Cordon Bleu, working in restaurants, private homes, and teaching, as well as traveling for food & wine.
I love finding the real authentic food of the world, the stuff that is cooked with heart & soul.
Currently I’m in Shanghai working on opening THE PLUMP OYSTER.
My aim with this website is to create more enthusiasm for great food through my insights and photos. As well as promote the new Bar/Restaurant!
